Kell Systems BladeVault™ Blade Server Cabinet Kell Systems' BladeVault is specifically designed to house a complete office IT installation comprised of a partly-or fully-configured IBM BladeCenter S™, plus UPS, network hardware and peripheral devices. It combines extreme noise reduction with high thermal capacity and is a very real, self-contained alternative to building a computer room. BladeVault is also compatible with many other blade server systems, subject to thermal load. Please consult with your Kell representative if you have another type of blade server system.
BladeVault enables deployment of blade servers and their related network hardware directly in the office workspace, doing away with the need for a dedicated computer room. It combines extreme noise reduction and very high thermal capacity with exceptional reliability and a truly all-inclusive, plug-and-play specification. A host of unique, installer-friendly features ensure quick and easy systems deployment and the PSE's office-quality appearance blends seamlessly into any office environment.
Standard specification includes dual integrated power distribution, castor-type wheels, 600 Kg weight load capacity, washable dust filters on all air intake paths, and BladeVault is delivered fully assembled and ready to go.
IBM's Office Enablement Pack for the BladeCenter S is not needed in conjunction with BladeVault. Both systems provide dust filtering, but whilst IBM's Office Enablement Pack reduces noise by 4 dB (source: IBM), Kell Systems' BladeVault provides a much more extreme noise reduction of 18.5 dB.

NetXen 10Gb Ethernet Expansion Card for IBM BladeCenter NetXen's 10 Gigabit Ethernet blade networking solution provides the high performance, scalability and virtualization capabilities required by next-generation data center environments. NetXen's award-winning 10 Gigabit Ethernet Intelligent NIC® technology has a dramatic impact on virtualization capabilities. Not only does it provide bandwidth sufficient to support a far larger number of high-performance virtual machines, but also intelligent 10Gb Ethernet networking helps enhance data center agility, energy efficiency and improve throughput while reducing host CPU utilization. This allows overall system performance to scale with workloads.
Deploying Intelligent NIC cards from NetXen in combination with IBM BladeCenter H takes virtualization to the next level by enabling server, storage, and I/O virtualization across multiple chassis of blades. By bringing the industry's first 10Gb Ethernet blade solutions to market, IBM and NetXen are uniquely positioned to drive the transformation of data center networks to next-generation Ethernet technology.
Benefits are:
- The ability to increase bandwidth and throughput for demanding applications
- Investment protection through compatibility, interoperability and scalability
- Upgrade of speed and fabric consolidation in the datacenter
- Higher network performance while lowering datacenter power and cooling costs
